NCAM announce the release of CCforFlash 2.0.1 today. New features include:
- Synchronizes captions to sound objects, video objects, animated movie
clips, main timeline, and loaded swfs - Supports programmatic instantiation of component
- Exposes full API and object properties
- Recognizes path names for target objects
- Recognizes multiple instances of the component in a movie
- Allows Flash author to override global styles in external caption files
- Allows square brackets in QTtext files
- Adds controllable padding between component background and caption text
- Changes default font style to 14-point Verdana
That first part excites me: “synchronizes captions to sound objects, … and loaded swfs.” Does that mean we can caption any swf file?
Also, NCAM announces a variant on the ccPlayer, ccMP3Player. This is a flash player which allows you to incorporate mp3 audio files into your page with captions.
