Kat & I celebrated our 5th anniversary this past weekend. We spent the weekend in the Hill Country town of Fredericksburg and at surrounding wineries and vineyards. Except for buying many many bottles of outstanding wine, we had a relatively low-budget and very enjoyable weekend.

Come hoist a pint with members of Refresh Austin and others tonight to celebrate the arrival of Spring Break for Geeks, South by South West Interactive. The weather may have turned colder, but it’s March in Austin. In two day’s it will be sunny enough to give people sunburns.

This recipe’s for quick and easy chopped barbecue sandwiches (When you want something more than what comes in the can) I made the other day.
Ingredients:
approx. 2 pounds pork loin grilling strips
16-20 oz. sweet green chili barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
coarse ground black pepper
1 sweet onion, sliced for sandwiches
