Barbecue pork sandwiches

This recipe’s for quick and easy chopped barbecue sandwiches (When you want something more than what comes in the can) I made the other day.
Ingredients:

approx. 2 pounds pork loin grilling strips
16-20 oz. sweet green chili barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
coarse ground black pepper
1 sweet onion, sliced for sandwiches
sandwich buns
